As the life expectancy age has risen, and the baby-boomers are beginning to age, care of the elderly has become a serious issue.  Home care is a choice that many prefer, but finding responsible, dignified, appropriate care is not always easy.  Caretakers are responsible for providing companionship, care, and support to the elderly. Their responsibilities typically include preparing and presenting meals, light housekeeping, providing physical and hygiene support (the extent of this support depends on the requirements of the position and may require some CNA or medicine administration training), as well as pleasant companionship.  It could also include driving, errands and outings.
