In the nanny industry, the job "Mother’s Helper" is used to describe a position where the employee "does a little bit of everything", to assist the mother (or father) in everything from childcare to light housekeeping, errands, organizing, laundry etc. Often a parent is at home at least part-time and hires someone to help out with all the various jobs she/he does. A Mother’s Helper is not expected to do all the extras plus care for the children full-time, though the individual will be qualified to care for the children as much as is required. Heavy house cleaning is usually not a job a mother’s helper can be expected to do, although if that is what you need, we can find a Housekeeper to do this for you.
