The Interview and Offer Process

We will work hard to match you with the families that fit your strengths, interests and values. You may take as many interviews as necessary to find that great fit for yourself. Alpine Nannies will work to provide you with the information you need to make that decision. We believe that in order for you and the family to make the right choice about each other, you should know what the family will be looking for, and prepare to present yourself in the most qualified manner possible. To this end we will provide you with detailed information about the families you meet prior to your interviews, will coach you on interviewing techniques, and will give you feedback on each of the interviews you take.

Many families will ask you to return for a second interview in which they may ask you to play with the child(ren) for a few hours.  This "working interview" is a great opportunity for both of you to see whether this particular position and family feels like a good fit.  If the family makes you an offer, it will usually be after this second interview, though some families make offers "on-the-spot" to the first nanny they meet in the first interview!
