The Interview and Offer Process

We will work very hard to present you with nannies that fit your family’s needs, style and values. You may interview as many candidates as necessary to find that perfect fit.

Alpine Nannies will work to provide you with the information you need to make that decision. We believe that in order for you to make the right choice, both you and the nanny should know as much as you can about each other even before the interview. This way you’re not wasting your time interviewing a nanny that doesn’t fit your exact needs. To this end we will provide each of you with detailed information about each other (while maintaining discretion and anonymity) prior to your interviews, will coach you on interviewing techniques, if necessary, and will give you feedback from each of the candidates. We recommend you interview your favorite candidate(s) at least two times.

It is a very competitive market for the best nannies.  When an experienced nanny seeks a new job, she often quickly receives multiple offers.  With this in mind, we ask that you contact a candidate as immediately as possible after we have presented her to you.  We have found that nannies who have been screened specifically for your position and are interested in meeting you will lose interest and take another job if they have to wait to be called for an interview.  We appreciate your cooperation with us in this regard since it helps us to fill your position in a timely manner.

Once you have extended an offer, Alpine Nannies will conduct a thorough background investigation, which researches any criminal convictions, social security number records, and Division of Motor Vehicles records. This information, along with the reference check information will be provided to you. Finally, Alpine Nannies will schedule and pay for your nanny to be certified in Infant/Child CPR & 1st Aid, if she is not already.
