Alpine Nannies founder, Laura Bressler, has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Behavior, and prior to establishing Alpine Nannies & Domestics, had a long professional career as a corporate trainer and recruiter. Though she had the skills to recruit and hire the best nanny for her children, as a part-time working mother of an infant and toddler, she discovered the advantage of using an agency to shoulder the burden of professionally screening the dozens of candidates required to identify the one best fit for her family. Through this process she also noted ways in which the agency’s service could have been improved. Once her younger son headed off to school, Laura set out to utilize her skills and insights to provide for this community a nanny and domestic placement service that was more professional, easier to work with, and helped families take the difficulty and guesswork out of finding the highest qualified help available, regardless of whether they were looking for 10 or 40 hours of help a week. In 2008, after years of growing Alpine Nannies & Domestics to be the most trusted and utilized agency in this area, Laura sought a better work/family balance and sold Alpine Nannies to Erica Cain and Courtney Hendricks, who have both been with Alpine Nannies for several years as instrumental parts of its outstanding reputation. Laura continues to work part-time with Alpine Nannies in a project based and consulting role.
Erica Cain, Director and co-owner of Alpine Nannies & Domestics, worked as a Placement Manager for Alpine Nannies for several years prior to acquiring the business. In that time, she learned the critical skills of identifying highly qualified candidates for families in order to facilitate ideal placements. She knows that nannies that fit a family well can greatly improve the family’s quality of life and parenting experience. Prior to her move to nanny and domestic placement services, Erica was an assistant teacher at a prominent Boulder, Colorado, Montessori school. Her teaching experience gave her invaluable insight into helping happy children grow, and has served her well in raising her own two young boys. Erica is a graduate of the University of Colorado and makes her home in Boulder County.
Courtney Hendricks, Director and co-owner of Alpine Nannies and Domestics, began as a Placement Manager and Recruiter for Alpine Nannies in 2003 while simultaneously pursuing a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in English at the University of Colorado. Prior to working on the placement side of the agency, Courtney had worked for years as a nanny in California and in Colorado. She has also been an assistant teacher in a private elementary school. These experiences in childcare provide her with a unique vision of the components needed for successful relationships between children, parents, and their nannies. Together she and Erica consistently achieve outstanding placement success for both the families and nannies they serve. |
